When you stay at the Sea Shell you are just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico – Crescent Beach. Just walk through our private gate and you are there. No streets to cross and no car needed.
Crescent Beach is just one of the three beaches comprising the barrier Island of Siesta Key. The other two are Turtle Beach and Siesta Key Public Beach.
One of the features of Crescent Beach that makes it unique is the soft, white sands that stay cool year-round. Unlike most beaches, the sand on Siesta Key is 99 percent quartz, giving it a highly reflective quality that keeps it from heating up even on the hottest days. Unlike many northern beaches, the water in Siesta Key is calm and clear most days, making it an ideal beach experience for kids or for those who prefer to “float” rather than fight the waves.
Just a few hundred yards south of the Sea Shell, and still on Crescent Beach, is a unique rock formation called Point of Rocks. The clear, calm waters make this a popular spot for snorkeling, fishing, and birdwatching. This natural geological feature bisects Crescent Beach and Turtle Beach, so you can’t walk between the two, but the free trolley provides a shuttle between the beaches and to Siesta Key Village to the north.
Crescent Beach is an amazing vacation spot for anyone because of its convenient location. You don’t need to change clothes and load your kids – or yourself – in a car to get lunch, ice cream, groceries, or dinner, just toss on a coverup and walk across the street. Everything you could need is just a few steps from the Sea Shell – lunch, dinner, souvenir shops, a grocery store, ice cream, mini donuts, happy hour, live music, and more. This part of Siesta Key is also a quieter, more secluded beach experience compared to the public beach. People of all ages, locals and tourists alike, enjoy the spectacular sunsets as the sun sinks slowly into the horizon across the gulf.

Most of our units have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, all have private decks, and are priced based upon their location in the complex – but all are just steps from Crescent Beach.
